I remember having trouble capping Aura of the Lich. The boss wouldn't spawn after going through Hell's Precipice for two hours. And when he finally spawned, hench managed to aggro nearby Sparks and ended up in a party wipe with the exception of two heroes. At this point, I was frustrated beyond all belief. So due to my stubborn nature, I refused to just head back to the outpost.
Spend another 2 hours just trying to rez the group and retreating. After I managed to kill the boss and cap the elite, I realized that it was called Hell's Precipice for a damn good reason..

The price I pay for not doing my research. :P Sorry, it's been forever since I capped the skills there. I just remember I had trouble getting a warrior skill there(not Hundred Blades, but the other one... I think).

I can't really say much, but I say that NO Elite skill is very hard.

The elite Spear attack..Stunning Strike? In Realm of Torment. I had NO fun trying and failing to cap that, with various builds, over and over and over.
Just kept getting terrible aggros, since some of those mobs have huge patrol patterns.

Maybe not the hardest, but I was trying to think of one others hadn't said.

I captured Onslaught yesterday but I don't remember it being so difficult..
Today I went to Depths of Madness to try to capture Hundred Blades, a core Warrior elite skill. It took me half an hour to get to the damn boss, and I was unable to kill him so I ended up with -60% DP. I had to resign.

Skill caping is generaly pretty easy.. although some skills are a real pain to find (mainly the Prophecies elites) they aren't hard.

I forgot about onslaught... oh that one made me so mad. you peeps with EotN have it easy :-p
...and why go into the RoT to cap hundred blades? even Hell's Precipice is easier than that.

Meh elite tomes are useless if you go for the legendary skill hunter, one tome is about 10 k, some cheaper but id rather buy 10 signets of cap and have my way with the bosses then throwing away 9k on one skill.

Took less than 5 minutes for that one. H/H with a Monk friend.
Message me if you still need to cap that.

it is a way to get back on track.... though i would have had to spend a considerable amount of money if my legendary skill hunter title was with tomes... by considerable i mean probably near 3mill ... i don't think you get xp from tome either so get ready to farm skill pts

it depends tho
at some skills for Tyria i was like "omg not again in THAT area!"
so yea i was about 20 times through snake dance and other areas to cap my elites and i got sick of it with those random spawns
instead of 90k for the signets i spent about 150k for a total of about 80 sigs of capture and 70k on elite tomes

I can safely say I spent 290k on cap sigs. I wanted the experience. But I did also get all the Tyrian elites before tomes came out. Even then, it'd be more worth it to cap rather than use a tome, unless the tome dropped for me while doing HM.

Nothing beats being a Ritualist capping skills in Tyria. One skill (sometimes two) PER TRIP and often random boss spawns in RoF and Shivs. But:
It's a great feeling when you're done.
My heart also goes out to all the Dervishes and Paragons capping skills in Cantha AND Tyria.

Ah, Starfire. Haven't seen you in a long, long time. Not since whatshisname kept kicking me out of guild. :P
What Rit skills are there exactly in Tyria? I swear I don't remember there being any there. But I may have taken one to many hits to the head from a titan, as well.

there are none that is why she feels for the dervishes paragons etc...
If you started a character in tyria in all likelihood you capped elites for both your professions then----doing all 6 professions now is just a pain.

Well I only own Nightfall so I don't have a lot of choice.. but I just found out on Guild Wiki I could capture Hundred Blades in Nightfallen Jahai so I'll give it a try.
